I am currently working through a backlog of bishounen walls, because dammit, we girls need more bishounen to decorate our computers with. Why should guys get all the skimpily-clad eye candy? Except this isn't a skimpily-clad bishounen. But the smoking. That's sexy, isn't it? Not that I advocate smoking, but there's that classic Old World appeal to it that harkens back to the 1920s and all. The original idea was to have fun shapes coming out of the smoke curls. Then I decided to make a trendwhore "throw in far too many floral vector shapes" wallpaper, partially because I already have lots of floral vector shapes, which I've used in various things like DA! 9.0's layout and my Papercuts iGoogle themes. I just merged a bunch of them together all over the place, really.
The color scheme came about by accident. At first I was going to go for a monochrome scheme (possibly using screentones for the shading) but when I was changing colors in Illustrator, I picked out a mauve for the shadows at random, then decided I liked how it contrasted with the blueish outlines. I probably ran a bit too far with the pink, though...
The title, of course, alludes to the movie of the same name.
