This wallpaper was decomposed to show how the different elements of the image were built, because it's quite different seeing it as a whole and seeing just the parts.

  1. Character placement, after cleaning and re-CG (removing the text) from the raw scan, placed on a dark (almost black) background.
  2. The original abstract-styled background, created blending a variety of clock-based stock photographs.
  3. I almost stopped at this point, because I had a scan and an abstract-esque background. Then I remembered my other clock idea...
  4. The clock obscures a lot of details - but in a way that fits the Count's character. Clock drawn in Illustrator, sized down.
  5. To heighten the effect and mimic the scene from the series, stained glass panes were created with color layers set to soft light.
  6. The text was done in Illustrator, since I could type directly into the clock and have it wrap around the rim. Textures on the text are copied from the abstract background layers for a subtle, eroded effect.
